Abstract


The article deals with patriotism as one of the main categories of values of national culture. It shows the immanence of a sense of patriotism for the Russian mentality as a value established historically, the necessity to develop patriotism as a spiritual component of personality,  the influence of a sense of patriotism to the nature of creative activity of AN. Tolstoy.
