USING MEDIA MATERIALS IN DEVELOPING READING SKILLS AT FRENCH LANGUAGE LESSONS

Abstract


Key words: communicative competence, teaching French, motivational component, the language of "mass media", exploratory reading, text forecasting, anticipation and transformation exercises, foreign language culture, higher education.

Annotation: this article examines the question of the motivational component in the comprehensive teaching of French to students at a university. In this case, we are talking about teaching a language for professional purposes - about high-quality preparation of students. The author examines in detail how the motivational component becomes part of the content of teaching the French language, understanding by the term "motivation" the desire to teach students and the directed adequate action of the latter. In the future, this will contribute to the formation of foreign language communicative competence of graduates, which is so necessary for them for a successful career in the future.
