Republic of Congo, as the Attractive Center of French and Chinese Transnational Corporations: Contradictions and Ways out

Abstract


This article describes methods of French and Chinese multinationals penetration in the Congolese economy. Analyzed the characteristics of French and Chinese investing model in Congo, and studied the FDI state and structure, as well as the impacts of foreign investment on the national economy. Was chosen the most appropriate model of investment among the two models considered, also identified and justified necessity of joining use of modern and appropriate economic instruments in the regulation of FDI in order to achieve a positive effect in the socio-economic sphere. Basing on the economics investigations, the author tries to reformulate the possibility of a third model.
