Mythological Origins of Environmental Knowledge

Abstract


Ecologization of mythological consciousness of primitive people was based on the ideas of domination of nature over the person, the rudiments of empirical knowledge, the personification of natural phenomena, utilitarian, anthropomorphism, animism. The main purpose of the myth - substantiation and consolidation in human consciousness existing in the objective world of the order, the moral norms, the traditions, and therefore  the regulation of existing relations in society, man's relationship to nature. A sense of unity with the nature - the strongest impulse of mythological thinking. Mythology essentially is ecological.
