Investigation into a Storeyshaped Gating System

Abstract


The results of theoretical and experimental study of tiered gating system. A method for calculating the velocity and flow rate in each feeder and the entire system based on the number of concurrent feeders and their position adjustment form. This was accomplished through the use of the Bernoulli equation to sections of streams with different costs (and the masses) without any additional conditions. It take into account three types of head losses: friction in length, in the local resistance to change and pressure. Changes in pressure occur in the flow dividing portion or branch of the main fluid stream. The decision is the method of successive approximations given the speed ratio to the resultant calculation. A good agreement between the calculated and experimental data is presented.
